Igenuinely want what is best for everyone but I am starting to think that some people are either born to fail or they just don't care enough. In the last 6 months I have had two people that worked for me who just had no regard for any life but their own. The crazy part is the one dude is a father.....I worked all day Christmas Eve and finally sat down with my family to have Christmas dinner and my phone starts blowing up. I see it's the new guy who works for me. My store was closed so I knew it wasn't work related. After the 5th call with Turkey in my mouth I finally answered and he was asking for a ride home from the hospital. He had went into sugar shock and was taken to the hospital via ambulance and needed a ride home. Instantly the thought was where is your wife she drives you everywhere. She was actually at a family party and wouldn't pick her husband up from the emergency room it made me think "what's up"??? So I let it go and politely said I couldn't was on the other side of town which I was and he said he would take an uber. So a few weeks pass and I see these books of text messages from his wife saying you need beer and weed to function blah blah blah and I'm like wow this dude no offense isn't too bright he shouldn't be smoking anything but that's none of my business. As time progressed you could tell from his forgetfulness that he was high on something. First it was forgetting to do deposits then leaving open boxes and phones we're being stolen. Literally everything you tell this person he forgets. He constantly calls me when I'm not working asking me things he should know in his career choices. Then he proceeds to tell me that I never told him these things lol. I hate repeating myself and I feel like I have repeated myself 9,000 times. So it just has grown old and I don't know what else to do. So I observe the situation and the situation I am in is because of an arrogant boss who hires people without doing thorough research on them. So it made me think are people born to fail and no they aren't it's about having a leader that leads and genuinely puts you in a position to succeed. In all honesty this is a person that I would of personally never hired because I don't want to see someone fail. When he got his employee line with an iPhone 6s Plus I had to show him how to set up his email and he's like 35. This is something he should of known on his own. To make matters worse he was coming from an iPhone 4 lol so how didn't he know how to do his email? I think in order to sell technology you one have to be comfortable with it and two you have to know how to operate it. So as the person in charge of hiring I would probably say show me how to set up this phone. Show me how to make a phone call which he doesn't know how to do true story. Not oh you can work okay hired like my boss does. In business your success is based on leadership your leader has to want your success just as bad as you do and that's not always the case and that's why I believe Sprint as a company will fail.
